Both the Scriptures and the history of the Church teach us that our best efforts are futile without the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. We cannot survive as people of the Word without also being people of the Spirit. But how do these two elements combine? And what does Spirit filled ministry really look like? This year’s EMA focus is the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the preacher, which must include both our public preaching ministry and our personal walk with Christ Jesus.
